In Sumy, the first stage of emergency stabilization, repair, and restoration works has begun on one of the city’s symbols — the famous Altanka. Members of the Sumy City Council approached the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation with a request to help preserve the architectural landmark. The assistance is being provided as part of the Foundation’s Cultural_Code program.

Specialists are currently working on the pavilion’s foundations, plinth, and technical basement. The main objective of this stage is to protect the pavilion’s structural elements from moisture and further deterioration, address existing damage, and improve drainage.
