The Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation has done a lot during the first month of autumn.
As always, much attention was paid to the medical sector. We donated special mobile stair transporters to the Kharkiv-based V. Danilevsky Institute for Endocrine Pathology Problems, which is subordinated to the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. This equipment has made it much easier for patients with limited mobility to move around the Institute's buildings. In cooperation with our partners, we provided more than 20 hospitals in the Kharkiv, Volyn, Donetsk, Dnipro and Kyiv regions with the necessary equipment.
On the eve of the new school year, we organized a celebration of the Day of Knowledge for pupils in the villages of Sazono-Balanivka, Petropavlivka and Krysine in the Bohodukhiv district. The children also received backpacks with everything they need for the school year.
In September, the exhibition on the unknown Kharkiv of the prominent Ukrainian philosopher Hryhorii Skovoroda held under the auspices of the Foundation, ended. A record number of visitors came to see the almost 300-year-old Kharkiv engravings. Many of the landscapes of the 18th century city presented at the exhibition have never been seen before.
The Central Library of Karazin University and the Kharkiv Literary Museum hosted presentations of books published at the Foundation's initiative. The books presented were ‘Skovoroda in the City of Wisdom Zacharpolis’ and 'Sloboda Artworks. Novels of Old Slobozhanshchyna'. As part of the '100 Books for 100 Libraries of Ukraine' campaign, more than a hundred reading rooms across the country received books published with the Foundation's support.
The sports sector is developing at a very fast pace. FC NIKA SMK, whose president is philanthropist Denys Paramonov, continues its winning streak in the Kharkiv Football Championship. In September, the team from Bohodukhiv won all four of its matches and is confidently at the top of the table.
With the Foundation's support, Ukrainian champion Khrystyna Yushchuk took part in international competitions in Poland. In turn, boxers from the SMK-SPORT clubs in Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, the village of Horkoho and Sumy took part in a number of competitions. The tournaments took place in Poltava, Kharkiv, Odesa and Balakliya, where young boxers from SMK-SPORT won more than 20 first places and more than 10 second places.
The Foundation presented the Sumy branch of the SMK-SPORT boxing club with new sports equipment worth almost 90,000 UAH. The equipment included four leather boxing bags, three punching bags and one pneumatic punching bag. In addition, the club received a new professional ring.
Kharkiv-based athlete Artem Brantsyra, who is fully supported by the Foundation, became the world champion in Cossack fighting.
Children from the rowing school in Bila Tserkva, which operates under the auspices of the Foundation, also took part in many competitions. The young rowers won three gold and two bronze medals in the Ukrainian Cup. In addition, the Bila Tserkva team won gold and bronze at the Ukrainian Cup in sapboard rowing.
Thanks to the Foundation, Bila Tserkva hosted the All-Ukrainian Wakeboarding Championships. Nearly 50 athletes from all over Ukraine took part in the tournament, which brought unprecedented excitement to the spectators.
