SAVES LIVES

A JOINT PROJECT OF DENYS PARAMONOV FOUNDATION AND SMK GROUP

Today, medical institutions in Ukraine need special attention in order to save as many patients as possible. The workload on healthcare facilities and doctors today is enormous. Unfortunately, many institutions often do not have the necessary modern equipment to carry out high-quality diagnostics of patients, as this is the key to effective further treatment. For this reason, the Denys Paramonov Foundation, together with its partners, has been actively assisting medical institutions throughout 2023. To date, 750 hospitals from 21 regions of Ukraine have already received various modern equipment. Moreover, we donate medical equipment not only to large medical institutions from regional centers, but also to small towns and even villages.

Just recently, we delivered 4 fetal monitors that diagnose the state of the fetus in the womb to the Balakliya hospital in Kharkiv Region. The Starokonstiantyniv hospital in Khmelnytskyi Region received a portable ultrasound sensor for effective patient diagnosis, while the Voronovytsia hospital in Vinnytsia Region now has an automatic defibrillator and an ECG machine.

One of our priority directions today is assistance to pediatric medical institutions from all over Ukraine. For instance, recently Kharkiv City Pediatric Neurological Hospital № 5 received an ultrasound sensor while Chernihiv Regional Pediatric Hospital received an audiometer to check the hearing of children. The Lviv Clinical Center for Pediatric Medicine obtained medical equipment worth 300 thousand UAH to conduct a full range of endoscopic procedures.

We are not going to stop there! In order to provide even more hospitals across Ukraine with modern medical equipment, Denys Paramonov Foundation, together with SMK Group, is launching the «Big Heart» charity program. Everyone can contribute to improving the quality of medical services. All you need is to buy a charity sticker at SMK Group stores, such as Kyivsky Meat Processing Plant, Saltivsky Meat Processing Plant, Bohodukhivsky Meat Processing Plant and Rulka. All the funds raised will be allocated to support hospitals.

Together with its partners, the Foundation provided hospitals in Sumy and Chernihiv regions with everything they needed, where there is currently a great demand for medical consumables and various types of equipment. The Foundation also organized a series of first aid courses at Trolleybus Depot №3 in Kharkiv. During the training, participants learned how to provide effective first aid before an ambulance arrives: how to properly apply a medical tourniquet, stop massive bleeding, and respond when an injured person has a fractured limb. In addition, during the summer season, specialists from the EAST Tactical Medical Center teach participants how to save a person from drowning.
