The National Dragon Boat World Championships in the Philippines have come to an end. 1500 athletes from 27 countries participated. The Ukrainian national team included Olena Skvortsova and Mykola Verkhovetskyi, coaches of the Denys Paramonov Foundation Rowing School in Bila Tserkva.
Mykola and Olena won gold medals at the World Championships in the mixed event, where the Ukrainian team was represented of both men and women. In addition, Olena Skvortsova won a bronze medal in the women's class.
“We congratulate the coaches of the Bila Tserkva Rowing School on this brilliant result. The children they train have someone to look up to! The Ukrainian national team took fifth place at the World Championships, which gives them the right to take part in the World Games in China next year. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the coaches of the Bila Tserkva Rowing School will be part of the national team again,”- in the Denys Paramonov Foundation noted.
