Recently, the tournament of the strongest boxers of Ukraine among boys and girls, juniors and seniors took place in the village of Boyany, Chernivtsi region. Elvira Kiske from Kharkiv, coached by Ruslan Holovenko, and Mykyta Kolesnik from Sumy, coached by Vitalii Volovyk, represented the SMK-SPORT clubs, which operate thanks to the Denys Paramonov Foundation.
Elvira Kiske defeated two strong opponents on her way to the final, but lost to the Ukrainian champion in the final and took the silver medal. Mykyta Kolesnik boxed very well in the quarter-final stage of the competition, but eventually lost to one of the strongest boxers of the tournament, taking 5th place.
“We congratulate our boxers on their successful performance, as they were among the best of the 180 athletes from all over Ukraine who took part in the tournament. The experience gained by Elvira and Mykyta at these competitions will help them win gold medals in the ring in the future.” - in the Denys Paramonov Foundation noted.
