The first month of the new year has been surprisingly active in terms of good deeds done by the Foundation.
As always, one of the flagship programmes of the Foundation is to support medical institutions. In January, we donated a portable electrocardiograph to Hospital №8 in Kharkiv. This equipment will greatly assist in the diagnosis of patients with severe heart disease. In return, the Kharkiv Institute of Radiology and Oncology received a lung ventilator from the Foundation. This device costs almost 750,000 UAH and the medical institution could not afford it on its own, but the patients desperately needed it. At the same time, we provided meat products to the Lyubov Malaya Institute of Therapy in Kharkiv and also helped to provide medical equipment to eight hospitals in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
The Foundation carried out repairs to the shelter of the Hippocrates Regional Clinical Center for Medical Rehabilitation and Palliative Care for Children. Children with cerebral palsy and other congenital disabilities are rehabilitated here. Now, even during air raids, the children's rehabilitation process will not be interrupted.
The Kyslyak Special School in the Vinnytsia region received a set of kitchen utensils and sports equipment. This was at the request of the school's management. These gifts from the Foundation will provide a better quality of life for 125 students with hearing impairments and autism spectrum disorders.
Much attention is also paid to the Foundation's sports activities. We provided funding for the 'Unbreakable Children of Kharkiv' football tournament and donated sports equipment worth almost 60,000 UAH to the SMK-SPORT boxing clubs in Sumy and Kharkiv. This will significantly improve the quality of training for boxing pupils. We should also mention the New Year's competitions held in all SMK-SPORT boxing clubs in Kharkiv, Sumy, Bohodukhiv and Shchaslyve village. After the competitions, the Foundation organized sweets for all students.
The rowing school in Bila Tserkva received training equipment for children. The Foundation takes full care of this sports facility, where training is free of charge. In addition, with the Foundation's support, the school's pupils went to a training camp in the Carpathians. More than a hundred libraries received the book ‘Skovoroda in the City of Wisdom Zacharpolis’, published at the initiative of the Foundation. We also contributed to the creation and unveiling of a memorial plaque in honour of the fallen rescuers in Kharkiv.
Ours
Experienced specialists from the EAST Tactical Medical Center have already trained dozens of the company’s employees, and this work continues. Unfortunately, not everyone today understands how to properly apply a tourniquet after an injury, which is why special attention is paid to this aspect during the courses. The ability to stop massive bleeding is also an extremely valuable skill in today’s circumstances.
Sport
The support was given to Parkhomivka Lyceum of the Krasnokutsk Settlement Council.
Sport
The camp took place in Lviv and brought together teams from Sumy, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
