Kharkiv Institute of Neurology receives modern lung ventilation device from Denys Paramonov Foundation
Recently, the management of the P. V. Voloshyn Institute of Neurology, Psychiatry and Narcology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine approached the Denys Paramonov Foundation.
This medical institution is located in Kharkiv and its specialists provide highly specialized neurological, neurosurgical and psychiatric care not only to adults but also to children.
Over the past few years, the hospital's bed capacity has been significantly overstretched - there are too many patients.
The medical institution could not afford to buy a modern lung ventilator on its own, as it costs 750,000 UAH.
“This is a latest-generation ventilator, the most advanced equipment available today. It is also designed for autonomous operation, which is very important during power outages. It also has several modes of lung ventilation and allows online monitoring of oxygen flow, which significantly improves the quality of medical care for patients and makes the hard work of doctors much easier. It is used in critical care, intensive care units, anaesthesiology - the range is very wide. We hope that this equipment will help save many lives,” - in the Denys Paramonov Foundation noted.
