Denys Paramonov Foundation supports innovative art
Thanks to the philanthropic support of the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation within the framework of the CULTURAL_CODE programme, the Kharkiv State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Mykola Lysenko recently presented a unique premiere - an innovative opera-cabaret 'T.H.Sh. Journey in Time', dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the birth of Taras Shevchenko.
The music for the performance was composed by Zoltan Almashi, one of the most prominent contemporary Ukrainian composers.
The production was directed by Armen Kaloyan and designed by Kostiantyn Ponomarev.
"This production is a fresh, extraordinary understanding of Shevchenko's figure - not only as a poet and symbol of the nation, but as a living person with emotions, doubts and inner struggles. It is a kind of 'humanized' icon who speaks to us in the language of the present. 'T.H.Sh. Journey in Time' has already been called one of the most important cultural events in Ukraine in recent years. We are proud to have supported this artistic breakthrough in these most difficult times, to have been and to remain partners of Kharkiv State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre." - in the Foundation noted.
