During the last month of summer, as part of the #OURS programme, tactical medicine courses were held for employees of the Bohodukhiv Meat Processing Plant. Now, if needed, they will be able to save even more lives in critical situations.

Ahead of the new school year, support was provided to the “Zvytyaha” Gymnasium in Bila Tserkva. Infrared heaters were installed in the school’s shelters to ensure comfortable conditions, as previously the air temperature inside did not exceed 5°C, which negatively affected the health of both students and teachers. In addition, almost 250 first-graders from the Bohodukhiv district received backpacks with all the necessary school supplies from the Foundation. This not only eased the financial burden for families but also brought great joy to the children. To top it off, a fun show with animators was organized for them.

Helping children in the Bohodukhiv district prepare for the school year has already become a good tradition for the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation, as the same initiative was carried out last year as well.

The Foundation contributed to decorating Kharkiv for City Day. This year, the Hero City celebrated its 371st anniversary since its founding. Residents and guests of the city enjoyed many positive emotions from the celebration.

Thanks to the Foundation, a modern children’s playground was built in the village of Peresichne in the Kharkiv region. This facility has already become a kind of magnet for all the children of the village, as previously there was hardly any place to spend quality time with kids.

In August, the Foundation also achieved a lot in the field of sports. For instance, boxer Yuliia Stupakova from the “SMK-SPORT” club, whom we support, earned a spot at the European Championship after her victory in a tournament held in honor of Ukrainian Master of Sports Ruslan Ohlu. Another “SMK-SPORT” boxer, Hanna Okhota, has been training intensively to compete at the World Boxing Championship, which will take place in early September in Liverpool, England.

Meanwhile, the handball players of the “Halychanka” club, sponsored by the Foundation, won the Ukrainian Super Cup. This marks the seventh such trophy in their history. FC “NIKA SMK” rose to second place in the Kharkiv Region Football Championship by the end of August. Over the course of four matches during the month, the team achieved two victories and two draws. The club’s president is philanthropist Denys Paramonov.

Athletes from the rowing school in Bila Tserkva, supported by the Foundation, won medals at the Ukrainian Championship. Second place in the 200-meter distance was secured by Varvara Hrabova, Anastasiia Pankratova, and Tymur Perushko, who represent the rowing school in Bila Tserkva, as well as Roman Harmash from Kharkiv. A member of the SMK Fishing team, supported by the Foundation, claimed victory in a fishing competition in the Kharkiv region, once again demonstrating his skill. This was achieved by Andrii Klochko.

In addition, to mark the 5th anniversary of the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation, we continue a series of stories about the people without whom the Foundation’s work would not be possible. These are the true Guides of Goodness, who make Ukrainians’ lives better every single day. In August, we shared stories about Roman Marabyan, director of the “Hippocrates” Children’s Center; Andrii Paramonov, local historian; Artem Brantsyra, athlete of the “SMK-SPORT” club, World Champion in Cossack Fight, European Champion in Kickboxing, and multiple prize-winner of Ukrainian championships in various martial arts; as well as Volodymyr Tkalych, head of the EAST Tactical Medical Center. Stay tuned for more stories about our Guides of Goodness!
