Medical equipment donated by the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation to the Center for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in Kyiv is already saving patients’ lives
Over the past two years, the medical institution has received equipment worth more than 750,000 UAH from the Foundation.
Recently, the Center’s specialists began using syringe pumps that allow for extremely precise dosing of intravenous infusions. Surgeons and all medical staff were also provided with X-ray protective glasses that reliably shield them from radiation exposure during surgeries.
Previously, the Foundation supplied the Center of Cardiology with a monitoring system worth over half a million hryvnias. This system makes it possible to simultaneously monitor the health status of 16 patients at once, with a dedicated monitor placed by each bedside. Thanks to this, a nurse at the station can track a patient’s ECG, blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation. If even one of these indicators becomes critical, the nurse will notice it before the patient begins to feel unwell.

This is primarily needed to ensure that as many employees of the city’s various municipal enterprises as possible know the basics of providing first aid to people injured in critical situations.
