The International Class A Tournament “STRANDJA” 2026 has concluded in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Following the competition, boxer Hanna Okhota, representing the SMK-SPORT club, won a silver medal as a member of the National Team of Ukraine.

The STRANDJA tournament is one of the oldest in the world and is highly regarded among professional boxers. This time, athletes from 32 countries took part in the competition, including the Ukrainian national team. Hanna Okhota competed as part of the team, representing the SMK-SPORT club, which is fully funded by the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation.

On her way to the final, in intense bouts, the Ukrainian boxer defeated Aigerim Sattibayeva of Kazakhstan and, in the semifinal, Mongolia’s Nomundari Enkh-Amgalan. The final bout was highly competitive, with Hanna Okhota competing in the up to 48 kg weight category against Sabina Bobokulova of Uzbekistan. As a result of the tournament, Hanna Okhota became the silver medalist.

“Silver won by our SMK-SPORT boxer as part of the National Team is a tremendous achievement! We congratulate Hanna on this outstanding result, as competitions of this level serve as preparatory stages for the Olympic Games, and we hope that Hanna Okhota will continue to represent Ukraine with dignity in the future. For our part, we will make every possible effort to develop boxing in Ukraine by expanding the SMK-SPORT clubs, where every child can train completely free of charge,” said philanthropist and founder of the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation, Denys Paramonov.

It is worth recalling that in the autumn of 2025, boxer Hanna Okhota, as part of the National Team of Ukraine, won a bronze medal at the World Cup in India. The athlete is a trainee of the SMK-SPORT boxing club, which is fully funded by the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation.

Besides, Hanna Okhota was recognized as the Best Boxer of September in Ukraine in 2025. This honorary title was awarded to her by the Boxing Federation of Ukraine.
