With the support of the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation as part of the Cultural_Code programme, the renewed ballet «Chopiniana» was presented at the Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Mykola Lysenko
This performance has long been one of the opera house’s hallmarks, enchanting audiences for many years.
The lyrical masterpiece set to the music of the Polish composer Frederic Chopin is a true art of dance, filled with harmony and inspiration.
But time moves on, and everything changes. Now audiences have the opportunity to experience an updated version of «Chopiniana» created by choreographer Antonina Radiievska.
These are unique choreographic novellas that fully reveal the essence of Womanhood: emotional states, feelings toward men, and relationships with them.
The first act presents a Woman as everyone dreams of her — lyrical and beautiful.
In the second act, she appears completely real and earthly, yet no less wonderful because of it.
The choreographer’s vision was brilliantly brought to life by the artists and soloists of the Kharkiv Opera.
