On 16 August, the exhibition Kharkiv by Skovoroda in Portraits and Cityscapes will open, presenting various engravings and drawings of Kharkiv landscapes of the 18th century. The main feature of this exhibition is cityscapes that have never been seen before. The organizers of the event point out that there are very few artists who would dare to paint Kharkiv as it was 300 years ago. According to them, there is no nature, it is either destroyed or completely reconstructed.

The event is dedicated to the 370th anniversary of the founding of Kharkiv and the 230th anniversary of the death of the outstanding Ukrainian philosopher Hryhorii Skovoroda. Thanks to the exhibition, fans of Skovoroda's work will have an opportunity to learn little-known facts of his biography in relation to Kharkiv.
