Thanks to Modern Equipment for the Capital’s Cardiology Center, We Helped Reduce Risks for Patients and Doctors — Denys Paramonov
The Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation donated high-value equipment to the Kyiv Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery.
The Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Center, located in Kyiv, is renowned worldwide for its practical approaches to treating critically ill patients with heart risks. Following a request for assistance from the medical institution’s management, the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation responded immediately, as the Center’s own resources do not allow it to purchase such expensive equipment.
The medical institution received two syringe pumps and six pairs of X-ray protective glasses, as well as specialized furniture for the operating room. The total cost of all the equipment amounts to 250,000 UAH.
Doctors expressed their gratitude for the provided equipment, explaining that syringe pumps are needed for the continuous intravenous infusion of medications to patients, while the special X-ray protective glasses will shield the eyes of surgeons and nurses from radiation exposure in the operating room.
According to Anastasiia Marushko, a cardiologist at the Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Center, the devices used during surgical procedures emit X-ray radiation, which, with the help of a special contrast agent, makes it possible to see what is happening inside the patient’s body—specifically the blood vessels and their patency.
«Life-saving surgeries place a significant X-ray burden on surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and all medical staff. Our hormonal organs suffer the most, as well as the reproductive system, thyroid gland, brain, and eyesight—vision deteriorates. In order to protect eyesight so that doctors can work for many years, X-ray protective glasses are essential. We are very grateful to the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation for the provided equipment», — Anastasiia Marushko noted.
At the same time, philanthropist and founder of the eponymous charity foundation, Denys Paramonov, emphasized that together with his team, they have become a reliable partner of the Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Center in Kyiv over the past several years.

I consider it an honor to be involved in this important process, because in such difficult times for the country, every life in Ukraine is priceless. Moreover, the equipment we provided protects the health of doctors during surgical procedures. It should be reminded that in the autumn of 2014, the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation provided the Kyiv Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery with a specialized central monitoring system. This high-value device makes it possible to monitor the condition of up to 16 patients simultaneously.
