Denys Paramonov Foundation provides Centre for Paediatric Cardiology with modern medical equipment.
Today, the Scientific and Practical Medical Centre for Paediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in Kyiv is a flagship for the treatment and surgical correction of congenital and acquired heart and vascular diseases in children and adults.
The institution's management asked the Denys Paramonov Foundation to provide the Centre with critical medical equipment.
"We were happy to respond because this centre is the only highly specialized medical institution in Ukraine where the most complex congenital and acquired heart defects are corrected, regardless of the age of the patients. Incidentally, in 2009, the Centre's specialists were the first in the world to start performing operations in the first hours of life using umbilical cord blood. The status of this medical institution is very high, so we donated modern equipment for the Department of Surgical Treatment of Acquired Heart and Vascular Diseases." - in the Foundation noted.
The central monitoring system donated by the Foundation enables high-quality continuous monitoring of 16 patients at a time.
The equipment cost over 520 thousand UAH and was purchased thanks to the 'Tesla for Donation' campaign initiated by philanthropist Denys Paramonov.
