Patients of the capital’s Heart Institute will now be able to undergo ultrasound examinations quickly and with high quality. The medical institution has been provided with a new ultrasound machine by philanthropist and founder of the eponymous charity foundation, Denys Paramonov.
The ultrasound diagnostic system donated by the benefactor is manufactured in the United States and costs more than 2 million UAH, making it one of the best devices in the field of medical equipment. It features a high-quality touchscreen monitor that allows physicians to obtain a precise image during patient examinations. The system is also equipped with ports for multiple probes included in the package, significantly expanding diagnostic capabilities. In particular, it enables a wide range of cardiovascular examinations for both adults and children, which is especially important for patients of the Heart Institute.
The Director of the Heart Institute, Borys Todurov, met with Denys Paramonov and expressed his gratitude for the support provided to the medical institution, emphasizing the importance of such assistance from benefactors. He also noted that the new ultrasound machine will make it possible to conduct highly accurate ultrasound examinations and, consequently, establish correct diagnoses for patients.
For his part, philanthropist Denys Paramonov emphasized that the Heart Institute requires special attention in terms of upgrading medical equipment, as it is a flagship institution in Ukrainian transplantology.
“Since 2022, we have already supported more than 750 hospitals across Ukraine. This is the third time the Heart Institute has received our assistance. In the summer of 2024, together with SMK Group, we transferred 5 million UAH worth of equipment here. Just recently, we delivered a modern ultrasound machine worth 2 million UAH. Today, we also arrived not empty-handed—we brought an EcoFlow power station for the intensive care unit. We held a meeting as well and discussed further cooperation priorities. In today’s realities, high-quality diagnostics and reliable electricity supply are extremely important—we understand this. Our Foundation will continue to provide maximum support and work systematically with medical institutions such as the Heart Institute, which are flagships of Ukrainian medicine,” said philanthropist Denys Paramonov.
It should be recalled that, by decision of philantropist Denys Paramonov, EcoFlow power stations will be purchased for children’s hospitals in Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv. One such power station has already been provided to the pediatric intensive care unit of the Heart Institute.
Previously, the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation together with SMK Group equipped the Heart Institute with state-of-the-art medical equipment worth nearly 5 million UAH. This included a video gastroscope and a video bronchoscope, which are necessary for fast and accurate diagnostics prior to surgical procedures. In addition, the Foundation helped provide the Heart Institute with defibrillators for its operating unit.
