Employees of Kharkiv’s municipal services continue to receive important knowledge on providing first aid. The relevant courses are organized by the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation.
During first aid training sessions, experienced instructors from the EAST Tactical Medical Center taught employees of KSP «Inzhenerni Merezhi» and KP «Misksvitlo» how to provide first aid to people injured in various critical situations or simply in everyday life.
Blocked airways, massive bleeding, and limb fractures are situations that municipal service specialists regularly encounter when they arrive at the scenes of critical incidents as part of emergency crews. Particular attention during the courses is paid to the application of medical tourniquets, as improper use can lead to critical consequences for a person’s health. After completing the courses, all participants receive the relevant certificates. Since the training program began, more than 1,000 representatives of critical professions and municipal services have already learned the basics of first aid.
“We live in a time when everyone should know the basics of providing first aid. It really helps save lives. This is especially relevant for Kharkiv, where there is a constant threat of danger. That is why we organized a series of training sessions for employees of the city’s housing and utilities system. They are very often the first to arrive at the scene of critical incidents, and thanks to the skills acquired during the courses, representatives of Kharkiv’s municipal services can, without exaggeration, save the lives of injured people before an ambulance arrives,” said philanthropist and founder of the eponymous charity foundation, Denys Paramonov.
It should be recalled that the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation began organizing first aid courses in autumn 2024. Initially, such skills were acquired by representatives of critical professions, including police officers and rescuers. Later, Kharkiv educators — school principals and teaching staff — took part in the training. Employees of the city’s critical infrastructure have also learned the basics of first aid thanks to the Foundation.
