A unique Skovoroda Fountain, donated to the community by the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation, has been unveiled in Bila Tserkva
Philanthropist Denys Paramonov personally unveiled the Skovoroda Fountain.
The opening of the new art object, which will become one of the new symbols of Bila Tserkva, was attended by Zhanna Osypenko, Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Vovkotrub, Acting Mayor of Bila Tserkva, as well as many figures from the fields of history and culture.
The uniqueness of the Skovoroda Fountain lies in the fact that it is made of a 20-ton block of Brazilian granite and bronze, while the entire multi-ton structure rests on a small point of support.
The artistic concept of the Fountain is based on the idea of philosopher Hryhorii Skovoroda that all people have different levels of abilities and talents, but everyone can be filled with them.
Thus, the vases and amphorae of different sizes on the Skovoroda Fountain symbolize people, while the vessels are filled from the “grain of life,” which is the central element of the sculpture.
The work was created by Mykhailo Reva, Honored Artist of Ukraine and sculptor.
The Skovoroda Fountain is located in the Pishchanyi district, in a square that was completely reconstructed by the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation in partnership with Kyiv Meat Processing Plant.
