The history of Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, spans over 1,500 years, marked by periods of both great prosperity and hardship.

The newly published photo book ‘Kyiv: Past and Present’ captures the rich essence of the city in remarkable detail.

Its authors — Gabriel Mykhailov, Volodymyr Bysov, Serhii Hrabar, and Vitalii Shulha — have conveyed Kyiv’s story through a rich and detailed visual narrative.

The book was officially presented at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War.

Notably, the photo album includes a section dedicated to Kyiv’s transformation since February 24, 2022.

«The book features many rare photographs of Kyiv from private collections — images that have never been seen before. We were proud to contribute to bringing this photo book about our capital to life. ‘Kyiv: Past and Present’ will stand for years to come as a testament to how we must preserve and celebrate the history of one of the world’s most beautiful cities», — in the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation stated.
