On 16 August, an exhibition Kharkiv by Skovoroda in Portraits and Cityscapes will open under the auspices of the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation. During the exhibition, which is absolutely free of charge, visitors will be able to see engravings and drawings of hitherto unknown landscapes of Kharkiv in the 18th century.

The 100 Books for 100 Libraries of Ukraine programme launched by the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation continues. Heads of libraries of all levels can receive books free of charge. We are talking about the book «Following Skovoroda Path. Slobidska Ukraine», which tells about little-known facts from the life of prominent Ukrainian philosopher Hryhorii Skovoroda, and the book «Hryhorii Kvitka-Osnovianenko: from Osnova to Kharkiv», which tells about the creative career of Ukrainian playwright Hryhorii Kvitka-Osnovianenko.

On 16 August, the exhibition Kharkiv by Skovoroda in Portraits and Cityscapes will open, presenting various engravings and drawings of Kharkiv landscapes of the 18th century. The main feature of this exhibition is cityscapes that have never been seen before. The organizers of the event point out that there are very few artists who would dare to paint Kharkiv as it was 300 years ago. According to them, there is no nature, it is either destroyed or completely reconstructed.

On 16 August, the exhibition Kharkiv by Skovoroda in Portraits and Cityscapes will open at the Heinrich Semiradsky Art Gallery in Kharkiv. The event is dedicated to the 370th anniversary of the founding of Kharkiv and the 230th anniversary of the death of the outstanding Ukrainian philosopher Hryhorii Skovoroda. Thanks to the exhibition, fans of Skovoroda's work will have an opportunity to learn little-known facts of his biography in relation to Kharkiv.
