Reading room of Korolenko Library in Kharkiv renovated thanks to Denys Paramonov Foundation
After the Kharkiv State Scientific Library named after Korolenko suffered serious damage, the staff of the reading room approached the Denys Paramonov Foundation with a request for help with repairs.
So, it was decided to repair the premises where the city subscription would work. On the initiative of the Foundation, the crumbling ceiling was completely repaired. The wiring was renewed and the walls were painted. Certainly, the windows were insulated and “sewn up” with special plates, as the glass in them had been broken.
“The Korolenko Library can now receive visitors in the new reading room. It is very comfortable and warm here now, which was not the case before. So now there are better conditions for visiting the library, which has the second largest collection of books among all libraries in Ukraine,” - in the Foundation noted.
