Denys Paramonov Foundation Supports the Only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Serving Three Regions of Ukraine
The Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation, in partnership with SMK Group and Golden Phoenix, has supplied the intensive care unit of the Kharkiv Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital with modern medical equipment.
The intensive care unit of the Kharkiv Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital treats neonatal newborns with surgical pathologies. It is the only department of its kind serving the Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions.
Responding to a request from the hospital’s management, the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation provided all the necessary equipment needed to save children’s lives. In particular, the Foundation supplied patient monitors that allow doctors to track the health condition of young patients around the clock. A venous scanner was also provided, helping medical staff locate veins in even the most difficult cases involving small children. In addition, the Foundation donated compressor nebulizers that quickly and effectively deliver medication directly into the respiratory tract, while syringe pumps ensure precise intravenous dosing of medications.
“The department of the Kharkiv Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital that treats neonatal children with surgical pathologies is a place where newborn lives are being saved. Doctors here accomplish the impossible, but doing so without modern, high-quality medical equipment is extremely difficult. Together with our partners, we supplied the hospital with exactly the devices requested directly by the doctors. This will make it possible to treat children according to the standards practiced in the world’s leading pediatric hospitals,” said philanthropist and founder of the charitable foundation, Denys Paramonov.
The state-of-the-art equipment was purchased through cooperation between the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation and the companies SMK Group and Golden Phoenix. The latter contributed 400,000 UAH toward the project, with the Foundation providing an equal amount.
Angelina Soloviova, Medical Director of the Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital, thanked the Foundation and its partners for the donated equipment.
“We need the venous scanner because small children have very small veins. We will use it constantly. This has been our goal for quite some time, and we are grateful that the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation made it possible. We only have one scanner, and previously we had nothing like it. It will be extremely important for our doctors and especially for our nurses. The monitors for 24/7 monitoring of the heartbeat and blood pressure of young children are also very important,” Angelina Soloviova noted.
It should be recalled that during the winter, during prolonged power outages, the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation supplied powerful EcoFlow charging stations to the intensive care units of children’s hospitals in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia, ensuring uninterrupted medical care for young patients.
In addition, thanks to the modern equipment provided by the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation to the L. T. Mala Institute of Therapy, patients there are now able to undergo more advanced health diagnostics.
