The exhibition was organized by the NGO «For the Reconstruction of Vovchanshchyna» in partnership with the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation.
The event is held with the support of Ihor Terekhov and the NGO «Smart Media».
Following the destruction of Vovchansk in 2024, thousands of people were forced to seek new places to live, losing an important part of the cultural and human heritage of the Vovchansk community.
The photo exhibition aims to preserve the memory of Vovchanshchyna and its people.
«Those who were forced to leave their homes should know: the memory of Vovchanshchyna, its people, and the events that forever changed the life of the community lives on in our hearts. As part of the Foundation’s Cultural_Code programme, we support initiatives aimed at preserving historical memory, cultural heritage, and community unity. This photo exhibition vividly reflects the sorrow for the lost city… For many years, within the framework of the «OURS» programme, we have provided assistance to de-occupied territories and to people who were forced to relocate, including residents of Vovchansk. The community also received support for hospitals from the Foundation and its partners. We did not stand aside during the preparation of this photo exhibition dedicated to the memory of Vovchansk, the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation stated.
The photo exhibition «Vovchanshchyna: As Long as It Lives in Our Memory…» will run from May 13 to May 31, 2026, in the foyer of the Media Hub and at the Kharkiv Metro station «Yaroslava Mudroho».
