In Kharkiv, the charity forum “Partnership for Life: Government, Community, Charity” took place, during which philanthropist and founder of the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation, Denys Paramonov, presented the foundation’s strategic plan for 2026–2027. The event was held at the Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Mykola Lysenko.Among the attendees were Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Council Tetiana Yehorova-Lutsenko, and Mayor of Bohodukhiv Volodymyr Bielyi. Representatives of various levels of government, civil society organizations, cultural figures, and athletes also joined the forum. The medical community was represented by Director of the Heart Institute, cardiac surgeon Borys Todurov, while the cultural sector was represented by General Director and Artistic Director of the theatre Ihor Tuluzov.
According to philanthropist Denys Paramonov, the next two years will mark a period of scaling up assistance and implementing systemic projects by his charity foundation, aimed at supporting people, advancing healthcare, sports, culture, and community recovery.
«Today, the first Charity Forum organized by our Foundation took place in Kharkiv—and for me, it is more than just an event. It is another important step in a cause that has long become a part of my life. Charity, for me, is not just about providing help; it is a philosophy of daily decisions and actions. At the heart of every project we implement is the Human being. We work systematically: supporting healthcare, developing sports, preserving cultural heritage, and responding promptly to requests for assistance. Over the past five years, we have implemented more than 100 projects and supported 750 hospitals—this means thousands of lives saved. I thank everyone who has joined us. I believe that our projects will become an example of effective cooperation», — Denys Paramonov emphasized.

Ihor Terekhov, Mayor of Kharkiv, emphasized the importance of partnership between local communities and the charitable sector, as well as the role of socially responsible business.
«It is very important when there is synergy between territorial communities, when there are joint projects. We fully understand how difficult it is for businesses to operate today, especially in frontline communities and in the city of Kharkiv. But despite everything, it is essential to maintain mutual social support. I would like to thank Denys Paramonov for his position, because during wartime, one could choose different approaches, including not providing assistance at all. However, this is his social responsibility, and I am very grateful to him for that. I hope that together we will implement even more projects», — Ihor Terekhov stressed.
During her speech at the Charity Forum, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Council Tetiana Yehorova-Lutsenko thanked Denys Paramonov for organizing the meeting and noted that she could not recall such large-scale charity forums in recent years.
«We can see the projects implemented by the Denys Paramonov Foundation, communicate, and develop plans for the future, because for both regional and city authorities, preserving businesses and jobs in our region is extremely important and necessary. I would like to thank Denys Paramonov for helping and supporting the Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital, as well as for supporting our communities, which have also received assistance in the form of medical equipment for central district hospitals», — Tetiana Yehorova-Lutsenko said.
She also added that even before the full-scale invasion, she had discussed with Denys Paramonov the restoration of Skovorodynivka.
«He continues to pursue this direction without giving up and is doing everything possible to preserve cultural heritage. I would like to wish him patience and continued dedication to philanthropy, and for his team to keep working forward. Our task, as regional authorities, is to do everything possible to ensure that you have these opportunities», — she emphasized.
Tetiana Yehorova-Lutsenko also presented Denys Paramonov with the honorary «Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Council» award watch in recognition of his support for the Kharkiv region.
In turn, Mayor of Bohodukhiv Volodymyr Bielyi spoke about cooperation with the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation. He added that SMK Group, owned by Denys Paramonov, paid the largest amount of taxes to the local budget of Bohodukhiv district last year—over 41 million UAH.
«I can say that in the settlement of Shchaslyve there was a rural club in very poor condition: the roof had collapsed, and there were no windows or doors. We met, discussed this project, and then the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation fully renovated it. Now it is the best sports club, ‘SMK-SPORT,’ where children train free of charge and where competitions at the Kharkiv regional level are already being held», — Volodymyr Bielyi said.
He also mentioned a sports hall in Bohodukhiv that had not been operating for more than 10 years and was restored thanks to the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation.
«Now it is the best boxing club, ‘SMK-SPORT,’ where children from across the Bohodukhiv community train, and interregional competitions are held there. As soon as the Foundation supported the football team ‘NIKA SMK,’ the club won the Kharkiv Region Championship in 2025. Denys Paramonov also made the decision to build the best football field in the settlement of Shchaslyve. I am grateful for such cooperation», — Volodymyr Bielyi summarized.
As for the Foundation’s strategic initiatives over the next two years, a distinct focus will be placed on the development of sports—including the opening of a rowing school in Kharkiv and the launch of new boxing clubs in Kharkiv and Bila Tserkva. The Foundation also plans to support demining programmes across Ukrainian territories by providing specialized equipment to relevant services. In addition, it intends to expand cooperation with the Prisoner Exchange Center in Mykolaiv to support the return of Ukrainian prisoners of war. Tactical medicine training programmes will also be expanded, enabling at least 3,000 citizens to receive such training annually.
Particular attention will be given to cultural and educational initiatives. Among the plans is the creation of a cultural and educational space based in the historic area of Kadnytsia, which could potentially become a tourist attraction for the region, as well as the installation of an original Skovoroda Fountain in Bila Tserkva.
The Foundation also plans to strengthen its international activities, including the creation of cultural platforms and a network of ambassadors who will promote Ukrainian culture abroad.
It is worth noting that philanthropist Denys Paramonov founded his eponymous charity foundation on July 30, 2020. Since then, the Foundation has implemented around 100 projects. Special attention has been devoted to healthcare, enabling more than 750 hospitals to be equipped with high-cost medical equipment. The Foundation also actively develops sports, allowing around 1,000 children across the country to engage in boxing, rowing, football, and dance. Through the “Cultural Code” programme, six books about prominent Ukrainians have been published, while various cultural initiatives continue to be supported and developed.
