Denys Paramonov: Six Years of Charity Changing Lives

Charity became part of my life gradually. As my business grew, I began supporting people whenever I saw a need—providing direct assistance, helping athletes, and backing cultural initiatives. At first, these efforts were occasional rather than systematic. There was no long-term strategy, no structured programs or clear priorities. But the scale of our support kept growing, and eventually it became clear that it was time to build something more. That happened in 2020. On July 30, I founded the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation.

For six years now, we have been helping wherever help is needed most. During this time, one thing has become absolutely clear to me: the greatest changes begin when someone chooses not to walk past another person's need. Our Foundation is a living organization that responds to the challenges around us. When Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we created the OURS_programme to support people in liberated communities and those living near the front line. We traveled to places that were often inaccessible to others—even if only a few families remained there. Because those few families still mattered. We also made supporting hospitals one of our priorities, becoming one of the five charitable foundations providing the greatest support to medical institutions in Ukraine. We expanded our work to assist the families of prisoners of war and missing persons, and we continue to develop free first aid training courses that have already been completed by nearly 900 people.

At the same time, we have never stopped supporting sports or investing in cultural initiatives. Over these six years, we have helped thousands of people. Yet every story has taught me something even more important: kindness is never wasted. It always comes back—in the form of hope, unity, and the strength to endure even the darkest times. As long as there are people in our country who are willing to stand by one another, Ukraine will always have a future. For me, the Foundation is not just another project. It is a responsibility tat I accepted and have no intention of putting aside.

Philanthropy is not about numbers in annual reports. It is about people—those who need support today and those who are rady to extend a helping hand. Today, I want to thank everyone who has been part of this journey: our team, our partners, and every person who has supported our projects. Six years ago, we created a foundation to help people. Today, I realize we created something much greater—a community of people who may never have met each other, yet share one important belief: they do not wait for someone else to take the first step. Thank you to everyone who is part of this story. The most important achievements are still ahead.
