In cooperation with the Regional Consultation Center of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, qualified psychologists have conducted more than 30 family and group sessions with local residents over the past six months. The goal is clear — to improve the mental well-being of citizens. As part of this project, more than 20 outreach sessions have already taken place in communities across the Mykolaiv region. Psychologists also work with representatives of local authorities who directly provide, for example, social services to families of prisoners of war.
«More than 500 citizens have already used the services of psychologists, which clearly shows that there is a strong demand for such support programmes. Many families of prisoners of war are unable to cope on their own with stress and depressive conditions caused by uncertainty about the fate of their loved ones in captivity. Psychologists help people get out of this emotional crisis and learn how to manage their mental state going forward», — the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation noted.
