As usual, October was full of events in the world of sports. The football club “NIKA SMK” became the champion of the Kharkiv region football championship of the 2025 season — the first such success in the history of the team from Bohodukhiv. The president of FC “NIKA SMK” is philanthropist Denys Paramonov.
The Foundation also provided sports equipment to the Krasnokutsk Children and Youth Sports School after a request from the school’s administration. More than 400 children now have modern uniforms and balls for various sports. The “Halychanka” women’s handball team performed well in the EHF European Cup, and five players were selected for the Ukrainian national team in the Euro 2026 qualifiers. The Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation is a sponsor of “Halychanka.”
The Ukrainian Boxing Federation recognized Hanna Okhota, a trainee of the “SMK-SPORT” club, as the best female boxer of September. She also took part in a training camp in preparation for the upcoming World Cup in November. Other athletes from “SMK-SPORT” also achieved great results — boxer Yuliia Stupakova performed well at the European U-19 Championship, while five boxers won prizes at the Defenders’ Day tournament. Notably, four “SMK-SPORT” boxers trained with the Ukrainian national team in October.
The Foundation helped organize a swimming tournament in memory of fallen military swimmers held in Kharkiv. Thanks to the Foundation, participants received high-quality swimming goggles, towels, and training caps as gifts.
The children’s football team “J.O.Y” from Odesa region, supported by the Foundation, took 3rd place at a tournament in Bukovel, while the “SMK” rowing team won several prizes at national competitions.
Recruitment continues for free sports classes at “SMK-SPORT” clubs, funded by the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation.
Moving to the medical field — every day, lives are being saved at the Heart Institute using equipment donated by the Foundation. Last year, the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation and SMK Group allocated almost 5 million UAH to purchase a video gastroscope and video bronchoscope for the institute’s needs. Since February 24, 2022, the Foundation has been regularly supporting the Heart Institute with additional medical equipment and consumables. The institute’s director, Borys Todurov, expressed gratitude to Denys Paramonov for his sponsorship and support.
The Mykola Lysenko Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre celebrates its 100th anniversary, and the Foundation is a sponsor of the new theatrical season. Residents and guests of Kharkiv enjoy an incredible cultural experience attending the opera’s performances, with its soloists giving their all on stage. The Foundation has been a long-term partner of the theatre, helping it to grow and develop.
Representatives of the Foundation also took part in the annual Kharkiv Prayer Breakfast — the third such event in the city — where participants prayed for Ukraine and for peace.
Following a request from the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Zolochiv Village Council, the Foundation provided them with office equipment and furniture, helping educators improve the quality of learning for local children. The Foundation also received hundreds of thank-you letters from libraries across Ukraine after sending them copies of the book “The Muravskyi Way”, published on the Foundation’s initiative.
In Mykolaiv, the Foundation helped organize a culinary master class for children whose parents are in captivity, in cooperation with the Regional Coordination Center for Prisoner of War Affairs.
To mark its fifth anniversary, the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation continues its #GuidesOfGoodness project — sharing stories of people from various professions who dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their work for the benefit of Ukraine
