Weekly first aid courses are being held for employees of Kharkiv’s housing and utilities sector
The classes are organized by the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation and conducted by experienced instructors from the EAST Tactical Medical Center.
After completing the courses, all participants receive certificates and are ready to provide first aid and save lives when necessary.
The classes include both theoretical and practical parts, allowing participants not only to learn the theory but also to put everything they have learned into practice.
Since employees of Kharkiv’s housing and utilities system always respond to emergency calls as part of emergency crews, they often need to provide first aid to casualties.
Thanks to the training they have completed, municipal workers know how to save a person in cases of sudden cardiac arrest or loss consciousness, as well as how to open the airways and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. They are also taught how to apply a tourniquet and stop massive bleeding.
