A young boxer from the SMK-SPORT club, fully funded by the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation, delivered an outstanding performance at an international tournament
The «DRAKULA OPEN» competition among youth, juniors, and young athletes took place in the Romanian city of Ploiești.
Artem Kurchenko, representing the SMK-SPORT boxing club (Kharkiv), competed as part of Ukraine’s national youth team. His coach is Ruslan Holovenko.
More than 500 athletes from 18 countries participated in the tournament.
Artem confidently advanced to the final, defeating his opponents in the ring along the way.
Ultimately, he won a silver medal at these international competitions. Thanks in part to this result, Ukraine’s national youth team secured first place in the overall team standings.
Yehor Brekhunchenko, representing the SMK-SPORT boxing club (Shchaslyve village) and coached by Artem Yevdokymov, also competed in the tournament. Yehor advanced to the quarterfinals. We congratulate our boxers on their excellent results and on gaining such valuable international experience!

The Foundation has been cooperating with SMK Group for a long time, including by providing regular medical check-ups for its employees. Recently, an employee working as a loader at the «Saltivskyi Meat Processing Plant» at a production site located in the city of Bohodukhiv was diagnosed with aortic valve stenosis with insufficiency. Doctors insisted that surgery was necessary. The Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation joined the treatment process. The aortic valve replacement surgery was personally performed by Borys Todurov, Director General of the Heart Institute.
