At the request of the management of the Voloshyn Institute of Neurology, Psychiatry and Narcology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, the Foundation supplied the facility with a modern patient monitor. This equipment allows medical staff to fully track a patient’s condition in the postoperative period. Respiratory rate and depth, pulse, and other vital signs are displayed on the monitor, enabling 24/7 observation without the need for additional personnel.
As part of the «HEALTHY» programme, the Foundation also delivered a specialized analyzer to the “Health Plus” Medical Center. This device provides fast, accurate quantitative and qualitative diagnostics of biomarkers in blood, plasma, or urine. Additionally, at the request of the center’s management, the Foundation supplied two powerful EcoFlow portable power stations units to ensure uninterrupted operation of critical medical equipment when needed. The center also received storage cabinets with bactericidal lamps, as well as medical cabinets to maintain sterility.
Moreover, the Foundation equipped the L.T. Malaya Institute of Therapy with a convex multi-frequency ultrasound probe—an essential tool for deep scanning of internal organs. Plans are also underway to fully equip a sensory room at the Hippocrates Rehabilitation Center.
Children of prisoners from the Mykolaiv region participated in a series of workshops throughout April. They learned to make churros, cupcakes, and sushi burgers, and especially enjoyed visiting an equestrian center where they could feed horses and ride them. These events were organized in cooperation with the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
Moving on to the Foundation’s sports initiatives: the football club NIKA SMK, whose president is philanthropist Denys Paramonov, has begun preparations for the new Kharkiv regional championship season. The team played three friendly matches and won all of them. Last year, NIKA SMK won the Kharkiv regional football championship.
Athletes from the rowing school in Bila Tserkva completed a two-week training camp and performed successfully at the national competition held in memory of Olympic champion Yuliia Riabchynska. Sofiia Orda and Nikole Matnenko each won third place among juniors. Meanwhile, their coach Olena Skvortsova secured two second-place finishes and one third place in the adult category.
Young athletes from the SMK-SPORT boxing club, funded by the Foundation, participated in a tournament in Izmail, Odesa region, winning 3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medals. The children’s football club J.O.Y, also sponsored by the Foundation, performed well at a futsal tournament in the Odesa region, gaining valuable competitive experience.
The «White Rabbit» dance ensemble achieved multiple victories at an international festival in Poltava. The Foundation sponsors this dance group, which represents the SMK-SPORT club in Shchaslyve. Athletes from the Kharkiv Stars cheerleading club also won prizes at competitions in Czech Republic; the Foundation financed their trip to participate.
Within the «OURS» programme, the Foundation continues its “Forest of Kindness” project, aimed at large-scale greening of communities. In the center of Krasnokutsk (Kharkiv region), nearly 500 trees have been planted, including rowan, sakura, hazel, lilac, juniper, linden, and others. Plans also include planting 40 barberry trees and dozens of spirea, dogwood, and boxwood shrubs. Approximately 600,000 UAH was spent on purchasing nearly 500 trees and shrubs. On the eve of Easter, a large community clean-up event took place in Shchaslyve. The Foundation provided residents with everything needed to tidy up their streets. The theatrical season at the Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Lysenko is ongoing, with the Foundation acting as a sponsor.
