An expensive patient monitor provided to the Voloshyn Institute of Neurology, Psychiatry and Narcology will track all vital signs of the human body. This will help save even more lives and ease the workload of medical staff.
The Voloshyn Institute of Neurology, Psychiatry and Narcology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine is located in Kharkiv and is renowned for its highly qualified doctors. In their appeal to the Foundation, the institute’s physicians emphasized that due to the significant overload of the functional neurosurgery department, there was a need for a patient monitor.
“We have long been a reliable partner of the Voloshyn Institute of Neurology, Psychiatry and Narcology. Every day, lives are saved here; vast experience and a responsible attitude toward patients are always combined with best practices. We immediately responded to the request and donated the necessary device. This medical equipment will help monitor the condition of patients in the anesthesiology and intensive care unit of the Institute’s clinic,” emphasized philanthropist Denys Paramonov.
The patient monitor allows medical staff to measure breathing rate and depth, pulse, and other vital indicators, continuously monitoring a patient’s condition 24/7 without requiring additional personnel.
According to Taras Zabashta, Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Voloshyn Institute of Neurology and Psychiatry, the patient monitor helps track critical bodily parameters after surgery.
“In other words, patients in our department after surgery can wake up calmly—they will not be disturbed or told to wake up and not fall asleep. This is because we continuously monitor their breathing rate, breathing depth, and pulse during sleep. Everything takes place under full control of the medical staff,” Taras Zabashta noted.
In turn, Ihor Linskyi, Director of the Voloshyn Institute of Neurology, Psychiatry and Narcology, expressed gratitude to the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation for the donated equipment, emphasizing the long-standing and effective cooperation.
It is worth recalling that last year the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation purchased a modern ventilator for the Kharkiv Voloshyn Institute of Neurology.
In addition, the Foundation recently provided a modern ultrasound machine to the Heart Institute in the capital.
