The village of Vesele in Izium district used to be quite large, with over 500 people living there.
After February 24, 2022, half of the population left their homes.
For almost six months, Vesele was under occupation, and the locals remember this time with fear as there was no electricity, gas, or water in the village.
«After the de-occupation of Vesele, the benefits of civilization returned here, but now the main problem for the locals is almost total unemployment. So, people survive as best they can. Fortunately, after the occupation, this village was not badly damaged, thus it makes life much easier for the locals. We did not leave people in trouble, having provided assistance to more than 350 residents of the Vesele village», — in the Denys Paramonov Foundation noted.
