The last month of winter was very productive for the Denys Paramonov Foundation. Here's what we did in February.
More than a thousand residents of the de-occupied territories of the Kharkiv region received humanitarian aid from the Foundation, whose representatives visited six villages at once.
The medical sector proved to be particularly effective. Together with our partners, we provided nearly 90 hospitals across the country with a wide range of medical equipment and supplies. Wheelchairs, medicines and vitamins, as well as dozens of boxes of medical caps, gowns and shoe covers were delivered to hospitals in the Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Dnipro regions. A special mention should be made of a large-scale mission to provide medical supplies to 50 hospitals in the Kharkiv region. In addition, the Kharkiv Regional Emergency Medical Service received 15 special radios worth 240,000 UAH to improve communication between medical teams.
At the request of a resident of Novoselivka village, Izium district, the Foundation presented him with a modern wheelchair. The wheelchair will improve the man's mobility. Together with our partners, we delivered 50 FPV drones and 100 batteries. This will help the police, who together with the Ukrainian Armed Forces protect the country's borders, to do their job more effectively.
In coordination with the authorities of the Nemyshlianskyi district of Kharkiv, we identified 10 families who suffered the most as a result of shelling in February. The Foundation provided financial assistance to these families to meet their immediate needs. Much attention was also paid to the cultural and educational activities of the Foundation. We donated 1,500 books about Hryhorii Skovoroda, Hryhorii Kvitka-Osnovianenko and colouring books “Fortresses of Slobidska Ukraine”, published on the initiative of the Foundation, to libraries.
In addition, with the support of the Foundation, an Open Day took place at the House of Culture in the village of Horkoho, during which students from the SMK-SPORT boxing club in Kharkiv, which operates under the patronage of the Denys Paramonov Foundation, performed for the public. During the event, pupils of the local dance section gave several outstanding performances. Boxers from the SMK-SPORT Club also took part in the Golden Gloves tournament in Balakliya, Kharkiv region. Besides, we assisted a family from a family-type orphanage in Bohodukhiv to send their children to Italy for rehabilitation to improve their physical condition.
