Young boxers from SMK-SPORT clubs win a number of gold medals at Sumy Regional Boxing Championship
The Sumy Regional Junior Boxing Championship took place recently in Sumy. Young boxers from SMK-SPORT clubs of Sumy and Kharkiv, which operate thanks to the Denys Paramonov Foundation, took part in the competition.
The SMK-SPORT club from Sumy was represented by eight young athletes, who won a total of seven gold medals. Mykyta Kolesnik and Illia Shornikov were selected for the national team of the Sumy region and will take part in the Ukrainian championship in March.
At the same time, Arthur Kulikov and Elvira Kiske of the SMK-SPORT Kharkiv boxing club won gold, Yehor Brekhunchenko and Mykyta Chepurnykh came second and Fedir Turyev took bronze. The boxers from Kharkiv and Sumy, who play for SMK-SPORT clubs, are coached by Ruslan Holovenko, Artem Yevdokimov, Vitalii Volovyk and Roman Sytnyk.
"We congratulate the young boxers of SMK-SPORT clubs, who show excellent results at competitions of various levels. This proves once again that our strategy for the development of children's sports is bearing fruit," - in the Denys Paramonov Foundation noted.
