The Denys Paramonov Foundation and the Nadiia Youth Initiative Charity Foundation delivered an artificial kidney machine to a hospital in Ivano-Frankivsk. Earlier, ten such life-saving devices had already been provided to medical institutions in Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhya, Pokrovsk and Chernihiv.
Currently, compression syndromes and acute kidney injuries are very common among military personnel in the context of hostilities. This problem is particularly prevalent in the military with crush syndrome, also known as turnstile syndrome or prolonged compression syndrome.
As a result, one of the hospitals in Ivano-Frankivsk, which also treats military personnel, now has a modern artificial kidney machine. In his turn, the founder of the Charity Foundation and philanthropist Denys Paramonov noted that it is only through the joint efforts of philanthropists that more hospitals can be provided with all the necessary medical equipment.
"We work every day to ensure that Ukrainian hospitals receive only the best and most modern equipment. As soon as we receive a request from doctors, we immediately start looking for ways to deliver this or that piece of equipment to the medical institution that needs it. The support of doctors is very important today, as they are already working overtime to save as many patients as possible." - Denys Paramonov notes.
According to Valerii Dubil, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on National Health and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Nadiia Youth Initiative Charity Foundation, haemodialysis is a life-saving procedure when one's own kidneys no longer work.
"Without haemodialysis, a person can live for a week or two. The complete cessation of this procedure means death for the patient. Even during hostilities and war, our Ukrainian doctors perform kidney transplants. When we were asked to provide the hospital with this device, we responded and helped." - Valerii Dubil noted.
In addition to providing an artificial kidney to the Ivano-Frankivsk hospital, the Denys Paramonov Charity Foundation and the Nadiia Youth Initiative Charity Foundation, along with volunteers, delivered another batch of critical medical supplies to other healthcare facilities in Ivano-Frankivsk. These included an argon plasma coagulator, wheelchairs, medical supplies and vitamin complexes from the Revival Foundation and GeriCare.
As part of the humanitarian mission, the volunteers also delivered aid to the Main Department of the National Police in Ivano-Frankivsk region. The police received power generation and storage equipment, Starlink, vitamin complexes and technological shoulder bags to help them carry out their duties.
